We created Jama with one key goal in mind: to build a global community to address the ever-present and growing need for hopeful, expectant, and new parents to connect and experience parenthood together. 

In 2019, after giving birth to my first child, I was grappling with overwhelming emotions. I struggled to focus on the needs of my baby, while navigating this new life and different body. While I had such loving support from my partner and family, and access to great doctors, I still had profound feelings of loneliness, isolation, uncertainty and a sense of being adrift. I kept thinking: “If only I had a community of postpartum moms who I could talk to and compare notes with. If only there were resources that could help me figure this out.” It was through this personal journey, with what I later found out was postpartum depression, that led to the creation of Jama.

Becoming a parent is one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences you’ll ever have. It is your life’s most important job, yet it comes with no training, no team and no time. I never want a parent to feel what I felt - that they are without the proper support and guidance. Which is why Jama not only acknowledges these struggles, but works toward fostering a community that provides the understanding, compassion, and practical assistance necessary to uplift and empower parents during this transformative phase of their lives.

While I cherished my career and success in real estate law, I understand that Jama was my calling. I am so proud and thankful for the impact Jama has had on so many parents throughout the world. I look forward to helping you and your family grow every step of the way.
